Oatmeal
To be the proper consistency, it usually requires more water than the directions say
and each flavor is different. It may take some trial-and-error to get it just right. Stir half way through heating to avoid overflow. Add a splash of fat free milk & sprinkle with Brown Sugar Splenda for some extra flavor.
Scrambled Eggs
In a bowl, stir egg powder and ½ cup water together and let sit for a few minutes. To improve texture, stir in ¼ cup of Egg Beaters. Cook in Pam coated skillet just like normal scrambled eggs.
Soups
For a softer consistency, pre-soak in water or fat free/low sodium broth before heating. The longer you pre-soak, the more re-constituted it will be. Bullion cube/graduals may be added for extra flavor.
Chili
For a softer consistency, pre-soak in water before heating. The longer you pre-soak, the more re-constituted it will be. Salsa or hot sauce may be added for extra flavor.
Shakes
Blend in Medifast Health Mate Blender or similar personal blender for a smooth consistency. Shakes come out smooth and lump-free when blended instead of shaken.
Hot Drinks
Before you heat, blend in Health Mate Blender for a smooth consistency. Hot drinks can also be made cold, as shakes, and come out best when blended not shaken.
Pudding
Blend in Health Mate Blender for a smooth consistency. Pudding can be made into a shake by adding extra water and blending. Pudding can also be made into a popsicle by pouring into a popsicle mold and freezing.
